Introducing: Net Nanny 6.0!
Coming Soon!
Along with the standard features found in previous versions, Net Nanny 6.0 will include features not available in other parental control solutions. Some of the more notable features include:
PC Game Blocking
Having worked directly with the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), Net Nanny 6.0 is the first parental control software solution to set age-based gaming restrictions using the ESRB rating system and the first to block desktop PC games based on categories, including violence, sex, alcohol, drugs and more.
IM Alert & Analysis
Net Nanny's improved Message Monitor feature examines the content of instant messages (IM) and alerts parents via e-mail to potential online predatory behavior, cyberbullying and other inappropriate contacts and comments made through popular IM programs.
Social Network Profile Reporting
Parents can easily access and view their children's social networking activities on commonly used sites like Facebook. Reporting provides details about social networking profiles including friends' lists, pictures, personal descriptions and more.
Secure Website Filtering/Blocking
Net Nanny 6.0 now filters the content of secure Web sites and aggressively blocks attempts to get around filtering by blocking secure proxy and encrypted Web sites. Using secure proxy Web sites is the number one method used by tech-savvy teens to circumvent desktop filters.

Childrens Internet Protection Act on Wikipedia
The 'Childrens Internet Protection Act (CIPA') is one of a number of bills that the United States Congress has proposed in an attempt to limit childrens exposure to pornography and explicit content online. Senator John McCain of Arizona introduced the bill that would become CIPA to the United States Senate in 1999. After various Representatives repeatedly introduced it to the United States House of Representatives, a final version cleared both houses and passed as part of an omnibus spending bill on December 15, 2000. President Bill Clinton signed it into law on December 21, 2000, and it was upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States on June 23, 2003.
